The Achievement from BNSCi team for Research Grants by Kemdiktisaintek 2026

PT. Bahiraliya Natura Science (PT. BNSCi) has once again achieved a significant milestone by securing competitive research funding from the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) under the Penelitian Dosen Pemula (PDP) scheme. The official announcement, released on April 7, 2026, confirms the organization’s continued contribution to advancing scientific research, particularly in the health sector.

This latest success builds upon the team’s strong research track record. Previous projects funded through the same national grant scheme have already yielded impactful academic outputs, including one publication indexed in SINTA 3 and another accepted manuscript in a Scopus Q3 journal, which is currently awaiting publication. These achievements demonstrate the research team’s consistency in producing high-quality, peer-reviewed scientific work at both national and international levels.

In the 2026 funding cycle, PT. BNSCi is involved in two awarded research projects within the health focus area. The first project, led by Fath Dwisari, M.Si, explores the biosynthesis of silver, copper, and iron nanoparticles using Bajakah Tampala (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk.) extract, along with an evaluation of their anti-inflammatory activity. This study reflects a growing interest in green nanotechnology and the utilization of indigenous medicinal plants for innovative therapeutic applications. Dr. Khoirul Rista Abidin, Ns., M. Biomed, serves as a contributing team member in this project.

The second project is led by Dr. Khoirul Rista Abidin himself, focusing on the acute toxicity and anti-psoriasis effects of ethanol extract of Uncaria gambir Roxb. administered orally in Wistar rats induced with imiquimod. This research aims to explore the therapeutic potential of traditional herbal resources in addressing psoriasis, a chronic inflammatory skin disease. The study is supported by a multidisciplinary team, including Ariffialdi Nurhidayattulloh, S.Tr., M.Kes, and Abdurraafi’ Maududi Dermawan, M.Sc., Apt.

The successful acquisition of these grants highlights PT. BNSCi’s growing reputation as a research-driven institution committed to scientific innovation and evidence-based healthcare solutions. Furthermore, it reinforces the importance of integrating local biodiversity with modern scientific approaches to develop novel treatments.

As PT. BNSCi continues to expand its research portfolio, the institution remains dedicated to contributing meaningful scientific advancements and supporting Indonesia’s vision of becoming a global player in research and innovation.
