At BNSci, we believe in the power of nature to inspire science and create sustainable solutions for some of the most pressing non-infectious health challenges of our time.
I am Dr. Khoirul Rista Abidin, Ns., M.Biomed, honored to serve in this role with a deep commitment to integrative research and scientific excellence. My academic journey has taken me across three distinguished institutions. I hold a Doctorate in Biotechnology from Universitas Padjadjaran, where I specialized in molecular and phytomedicine innovation. My Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences was earned at Universitas Gadjah Mada, where I cultivated a strong foundation in disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies. My initial academic training in Nursing Science was completed at Universitas Tanjungpura, which continues to ground my work in the realities of patient-centered care and public health.
My passion for research lies in the exploration and development of herbal-based therapies to prevent and manage non-infectious diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, and metabolic syndromes. Over the years, I have led and collaborated on numerous research projects focused on phytochemical screening, bioactivity assays, and the formulation of evidence-based herbal interventions. These studies have resulted in a series of peer-reviewed publications, including several indexed in Scopus, which serve to bridge traditional knowledge with modern scientific validation.
At BNSci, our mission is to empower communities, researchers, and industries with scientifically validated herbal innovations that are accessible, effective, and safe. Our team is composed of multidisciplinary professionals who share a common goal: to transform Indonesia’s rich biodiversity into globally recognized therapeutic resources. Through partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, and health sectors, we aim to facilitate knowledge transfer, research training, and product development in a collaborative and ethical manner.
We also recognize the importance of education and outreach. In line with this, BNSci actively supports journal publications, academic symposia, and community empowerment programs to disseminate our findings and promote a culture of research excellence. We are not only producers of knowledge but also advocates for health equity and sustainable development.
